During an annual boiler service various tests, checks and necessary cleaning is carried out to make sure your boiler is functioning at it’s best possible standard.

A boiler service MUST be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and  needless to say at Allen and Clarke, our four amazing engineers are of course all Gas Safe and Oftec oil registered.

 Landlords CP12 Gas safety inspections 

Annual boiler services are a legal requirement for landlords. It is a legal requirement to present a gas safety record each year. It makes it really convenient to conduct the gas safety check at the same time as a boiler service.

The smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm amendment regulation 2022. All rented properties must provide a Carbon Monoxide Alarm in rooms where there is any type of fixed combustion appliance such as boiler, hob, gas fire.

A Smoke Alarm must be fitted on every floor of a rented property where there is a room used as living accommodation.

An annual boiler service is a proactive approach to help reduce the chance of expensive faults and detecting safety issues.

Unvented Cylinder Service

Most people are unaware that an Unvented Hot Water Cylinder requires an annual inspection of the key safety devices fitted to the system. The cylinder installed in your home is a pressurised container and will require regular maintenance just like your boiler. It validates your manufacturer’s warranty and guarantees the cylinder operates efficiently in compliance with industry guidance and building regulations.

Senior Citizen’s Discount on your boiler servicing 

At Allen & Clarke Plumbing and Heating, we thrive to provide excellent customer service. We want to ensure our senior citizen’s are warm and comfortable in their homes and as such we offer a £5 discount on boiler services.

We are pleased to say we are fundraising towards our local Colchester Food bank throughout this Winter

Do you know that as a company we are donating £1 from every boiler service we carry out to buy and donate essential food and toiletry items to Colchester Food Bank?

We are donating from the 1st of October up until the 1st March 2023.

We have already made our first delivery worth of £135 to the Food Bank

If any of our customers would like to donate food or toiletry items then please bring them to our office at Unit 5,Kingsford Business Centre, Layer Road, Colchester where we will be happy to deliver them on your behalf.
